Hawthorn Retirement Group offers complete accounting services to the facilities we manage. Services include processing invoices and issuing vendor payments; processing accounts receivable and issuing monthly statements to residents; issuing employee pay checks and submitting payroll taxes to the appropriate agencies; and compiling monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement with applicable budgets and activity reports, and monthly food computation. Various reports to facilitate review of facility performance are sent to the facilities and to owners on a monthly basis.
Hawthorn Retirement Group coordinates all food services for the facilities we manage including, menus, dietician services, food vendor contracts, food safety systems, and food cost control systems. A regional chef is assigned to each facility to education and train the food services staff as necessary.
Human Resources Services
Hawthorn Retirement Group coordinates most human resources functions for the facilities we manage, including all employee benefits, workers’ compensation claims, and formal employee complaints. The Hawthorn staff is available to assist with employee recruitment, retention, and counseling, as well as to coordinate implementation and effective use of the employee orientation and continuing education components of the Hawthorn Operating System.
Hawthorn Retirement Group offers extensive health services support to the facilities we manage. The Hawthorn health services staff is available to advise facility RN’s; to assist with the education and training of facility licensed nurses, medication assistants, and resident assistants; and to coordinate implementation and effective use of all health services components of the Hawthorn Operating System.
Hawthorn Retirement Group coordinates all maintenance services for the facilities we manage. This includes all issues regarding landscaping, sprinkler systems, pest elimination, snow removal, elevators, HVAC, emergency light systems, smoke detectors, paint, carpet, tile, cabinets, and vehicles.
Hawthorn Retirement Group offers thorough marketing services to the facilities we manage, including advertising, promotional brochures, guidance with promotional events, and assistance with the development and utilization of marketing plans. The Hawthorn Director of Marketing and the Regional Manager for the facility are available to coordinate all marketing components of the Hawthorn Management Operating System.
Regional Manager Services
Hawthorn Retirement Group assigns a Regional Manager to each property we manage. The Regional Manager conducts site visits on a routine basis and also is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for telephone consultation. Working closely with the Facility Manager or Administrator, the Regional Manager focuses on revenues, expenses, marketing, quality assurance, and resident satisfaction issues.
Regulatory Compliance Services
Hawthorn Retirement Group offers extensive assistance in complying with federal and state rules, regulations, codes, and statutes. The Hawthorn Operating System is state specific, with policies and procedures adhering to the requirements of the individual state in which a facility is located. Facility licensure, both initial and renewal, is coordinated by Hawthorn. Hawthorn assisted in helping facilities prepare for annual or other routine inspections by regulatory agencies. Any required response to an inspection or an investigation by a regulatory agency is coordinated by Hawthorn.
Risk Management Services
Hawthorn Retirement Group coordinates all risk management services to the facilities we manage including liability insurances.
