Testimonials for Bella Vista Gracious Retirement Living in Asheville, NC

“Before moving to Bella Vista I had been a widow for 15 years, I was not well, not eating properly and sinking into depression. I decided to visit my daughter in Asheville, NC. We talked about my situation and she did an internet search of places in Asheville. We took a ride and climbed the hill to this beautiful building perched on the side of the mountain. I walked into the lobby, took one look around and said ‘OK, this is it. Let’s look at some apartments.’ I chose an apartment overlooking the cut in the mountain. The view is gorgeous.  All of the above is due to the staff. The managers, all four of them, go above and beyond to make our living here such a pleasure. There is no job too big or small for them. They are at our beck and call 24/7. This is a team that Hawthorn can really be proud of. Our new Activity Coordinator has taken hold and is doing a wonderful job. Enough cannot be said about the kitchen staff. From our head chef down, they make a very difficult job look easy.  I can do what I want, when I want. I can do as much or as little as I want. What more can one ask of life at this age. We are fortunate to have reached our elder years and living here at Bella Vista is making this time in our lives a special gift.”

"There are numerous activities on the daily schedule that keep me busy. I love playing team trivia on Mondays and Thursdays and Bingo and Pokeno are very entertaining.  Renee, the Activity Coordinator, is very ambitious and loves her job. She has initiated a Resident History day that maps out thumbtacks and string where you were born and where you have lived. On Friday afternoons, we have social hour complete with snacks and soft drinks. This hour allows us to converse freely with other residents to get to know them better.  The management is truly dedicated to resident requests and needs. They announce over a microphone the daily schedule, newsworthy items and trivia questions at mealtimes."
