Photo Tour - Retirement community in Elk Grove
Camden Springs is the best place I have ever been, in every way. They have activities of all kinds that you can choose to do. I have even done things here that I thought I would never do like white water rafting and walking in the annual Running of the Elks race. This building has a sense of community and you have everyone’s support. When I participated in the Running of the Elks, the other residents came and cheered me on as I started the race and they were there to greet me as I crossed the finish line as well. Everyone cares.
After my husband passed away, I decided to move closer to my son so I moved into Camden Springs. At first it was very hard for me to adjust to being alone, but I soon realized that I was not alone here. There are a lot of people here just like me who moved in due to the same circumstances. It is comforting to know that people can understand how I feel. People welcomed me warmly and although it is a process, my new friends are still helping me adjust to my new life.
Believe it or not, we moved into Camden Springs sight unseen! We were living in New Mexico and we wanted to be closer to our family so we asked our children to find a community near them. They selected Camden Springs and we have never regretted it. There is friendliness about the people who live here. We have made some great friends. Our family is always welcome to visit and stay for a meal. The management try very hard to make this feel like a home.

It is unusual for you to find a place or company that values people over money, but here at Camden Springs, people always come first. The emphasis is not about the company making a profit but instead on how the lives of the people who live here can be improved. I have never been in a place where I can say, “I love all of the staff.” There is always someone who bugs you, but here I can honestly say that the whole staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to satisfy each and every resident.
When I decided to come to Camden Springs, my children found three different communities for me to tour. Each one was nice and a little better than the last but when I walked into Camden Springs, I said to myself, “This feels like home!” From the quality staff who smile and hug me every day to the fantastic friends I have made, I feel like I am surrounded by family. The food can’t be beat, the grounds are beautiful if you like to walk and there is always something to do. I know my kids have peace of mind that I am safe and having the time of my life.
