Our Assisted Living Testimonials

"I have lived at Somerset Assisted Living for 7 1/2 years. I feel it is my home and the residents are my family. I enjoy the activities and... entertainment. The caregivers are excellent, and the food is nourishing."
-Ellen Seeley

"I have lived here at Somerset for 8 years, and I would not live anywhere else. The staff is attentive and caring and the buliding and grounds are beautiful, making me feel proud to call Somerset 'home.'"
-JoAnn Zinck

"When my family and I started looking for an Assisted Living Facility in the Gladstone area, flexibility was of primary concern. We wanted a place that was safe, staffed by competent and caring indviduals, had a wide variety of activities and educational experiences, is well maintained, with good food, and had the ability to adjust the level of care as my needs change. I have been at Somerset for over a year and I have been quite happy and pleased. I am confident that as my needs become more critical, the staff and administration will be there to offer my family and me the level of support needed. I am particularly impressed with the caregivers which I see on a regular basis."
-Freeda Kemnitzer

"I am from California, but I love this place, with all my friends and Tracy is a super administrator. My doctor comes here to visit me. She says she is going to bring her mother here to live. We all can be proud to let people know where we live."
-Lois Nason

"I originally moved to Somerset due to my wife's health status. After she passed, I was given a choice of either staying at Somerset or moving elsewhere. I decided to stay for several reasons. There is the Somerset staff including caregivers, housekeeping, and kitchen staff, even maintenance, each providing me great assistance besides being friendly at all times. There is a large number of activities, including going out for lunch, sightseeing trips, and beingo, offering chances to spend time with the great group of people living at Somerset. And, there are meetings once a month open to all residents looking for suggestions of how to improve living at Somerset, plus chef meetings on menu suggestions. I made the right decision."
-William Reedy

"We are in our 90's and researched 7 or 8 locaitons near our home town. Our goal was to find an Assisted Living Facility that fulfilled our 3 requirements: a clean, attractive place located in a nice setting; healthy and appetizing food; and a cheerful, cooperative staff meeting our physical and mental needs... Seeing our future apartment, with a field, lake and geese in view from the windows proved to be a beautiful locaiton - good for the soul. A bonus came with the activities available... Recreation varies with a perosn's interests and abilities. We have been here at Somerset Assisted Living three years next month and have always felt it is the best possible place for us to live."
