XL Management Team
Randall Corwin - Operations
While earning a degree in Business Administration, Randall started a small company offering products and services related to property maintenance. Subsequently recruited by a growing senior housing management company, he first served as administrator for a skilled nursing facility, then as an administrator for an assisted living community, and finally as a regional manager overseeing retirement, assisted living, and memory care communities. Along with a group of partners from Holiday Retirement Corp, Randall participated in the formalization of XL Management in 2000.
Quintin King - Chief Financial Officer
After earning a degree in Business Administration with an accounting focus, Quintin was employed at a major retirement management company in its accounting department. There he was promoted to senior accountant and accounting trainer. In 2000, he joined a national accounting firm and served as a business consulting project manager. In this capacity he specialized in systems implementation, process reengineering, and strategic planning. Quintin joined XL Management in 2005.
Larry Wright - Operations
Larry has a 15-year history in the senior housing sector including a wide variety of capacities ranging from facility administration to the ownership and operations of a senior housing management company. Most recently he managed the marketing department for a large independent living management company. Larry joined the XL team in 2007, and presently oversees XL’s independent living properties.
Tammy Argenbright
While obtaining her undergraduate degree in Economics and her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, Tammy worked for a breast and colon/rectal cancer clinical trial program funded by the National Cancer Institute. After graduating she worked full time for this organization, becoming project coordinator for one of the first preventative breast cancer clinical trials. Leaving the city behind, she relocated to a rural part of Pennsylvania and used her accounting skills in the timber industry. This subsequently led her to Oregon in 1999, where she became Controller for a pharmaceutical research and development firm. Tammy joined XL Management in September 2007. Her industry experience and corporate accounting strengths bring additional depth to the XL organization.
LaDonna Shadden
LaDonna began her career in the medical field working as an emergency medical technician, in addition to volunteering with an ambulance rescue squad. She went on to manage Alabama HUD housing as a certified project manager. In 1998, LaDonna operated an assisted living community in Hermiston, Oregon. She later assumed regional, and then divisional responsibilities, overseeing 49 senior housing communities in fifteen states. Thereafter she became the director of acquisitions with a large senior housing development and management company. LaDonna is certified as a National Assisted Living Administrator and holds specific certification in Oregon, California, Texas, and Nevada.
Gail Strom
After earning a degree in theology, Gail continued her education in nursing. Launching her 16 years in senior housing, Gail’s interest in gerontology led her to long-term care where she served as a charge nurse, as well as a medical records manager. In 1997 Gail operated an assisted living community in Oregon. Within the same growing senior housing management company, she went on to become the company’s first director of health services and then became a regional manager. Gail joined XL Management in 2000 and has worn many hats since then, including director of health services and director of operations. She is now leading the most progressive and resident-focused programs in the industry as XL Management’s wellness resources coordinator.
Connie Irwin - Human Resources Administration Manager
Connie’s background includes directing the HR department for two different start-up companies as well as working as a Generalist for a large hi-tech manufacturing company in northern California. After 15 years of HR experience, Connie joined XL Management in 2006. She currently manages XL’s payroll, benefits, and workers compensation programs.
Linda Livermore
Linda has over 33 years experience in human resources working as a director for various companies such as Payless Drug Stores, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Supra Products, and most recently Holiday Retirement. In addition, she has owned and managed her own consulting business. Linda has authored custom-designed HR programs related to hiring, discipline, performance management, and termination with humanity. Linda has also shared her extensive knowledge through teaching at the University of Portland. Beginning her career at XL Management in September 2007, Linda brings expertise in the areas of strategic planning, performance management, operations, training, and employee relations.
Christopher Mills - Information Systems/Information Technology Manager
After earning a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Information Technology, Christopher went on to work as an IS Manager for a leading HRIS/Payroll software company. His expertise includes network infrastructure build-out, property management systems deployment, and other key IS project support functions. Christopher joined XL Management in 2007, to head the information systems department.
Mark Topits - Maintenance Director
Mark’s 25 years in maintenance and construction project management has included directing maintenance operations for commercial and residential properties. Most recently, Mark oversaw the maintenance management of a rental housing portfolio for a real estate investment company in the Portland, Oregon area. Mark began with XL in 2007, and is responsible for directing all XL maintenance operations.
